Fun Annual Baltimore Singles Party Event Rescheduled For End Of Rocktober
Hurricane Joaquin is affecting sporting events and may even postpone one of NASCAR’s events as part of the 10-race “Chase.”
And now it’s postponed a party.
The Fells Point Fun Festival in Baltimore – one of the area’s top singles events of the year – has been delayed due to heavy rains and high winds expected through the weekend.
“Based on the deteriorating weather conditions, impending storm and high winds [forecasted] this weekend, we feel as if we cannot give our festival goers, vendors, sponsors, and especially the resident s of Fells Point a safe [and] enjoyable festival experience,” festival organizers posted on the event’s Facebook page.
Event organizers are working with the city to have it the weekend of Oct. 23-25.
Also postponed in Baltimore are the outdoor activities of the Harve de Grace First Friday. This has been rescheduled to next Friday.
Another victim is the Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival on Kent Island, which was postponed (new date not yet announced).
Fells Point Fun Festival is a block party in Baltimore’s Fells Point area. It features bands on three stages and three gardens of adult beverages. Nearly every single person in Baltimore goes to this event, making it a true party scene for singles.
