World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party
So what is the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party and how do you get invited to it?
First of all, you don’t need an invitation. You just show up for it along the Jacksonville Landing in north Florida (or South Georgia, depending on one’s point of view) for the annual Georgia-Florida college football game.
Half the people just go there to party and because of that, a sportswriter walking through the scene on the way to the press box told his fellow scribes, “its the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail party out there!”
Halloween Parties & Events
Here’s what’s happening (and not happening, bummer!) for Halloween weekend.
In Manhattan Beach, THE place to be (as is always the case) is Berry Bly’s bash at Shade Hotel. Tickets are required and here’s deets on the event, the cost and advance purchase.

The biggest and best Halloween party on the West Coast and among the tops in the country is WeHo Carnaval. It’s a huge block party with costume designers and others filling the famous Sunset Strip, a true bucket list item. However – and this is the bummer part of the Party Report – it’s been canceled for the second year in a row.
There are, however, Halloween parties happening all across the USA. Here is PubClub’s rundown of the top Halloween party destinations in the USA.

In San Diego, the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival takes place on Saturday. It features more than 50 beers, spooky street crawlers and tribute bands in a typically awesome San Diego Gaslamp block party.

Saturday is the big day of FantasyFest in Key West, FL, the annual wild and crazy parade in down Duval Street. Left and right from there are bar events, parties and lots of crazy Halloween fun.
