It’s A Day In The Cantinas With Senoritas, Cervezas And Sombreros

The weather isn’t exactly like a Mexican beach party, but that’s okay for Cinco de Mayo.
In fact, it’s almost better.
That’s because we’ll be in the bars in the afternoon, partying it up Mexican style, and if it’s cloudy or even raining, we won’t be feeling guilty that we are inside drinking on a nice day. That’s the way we feel here where the weather is always so great; if there’s a party event like Cinco de Mayo where we drink early in the bars, we feel as if we should be out biking, running, playing beach volleyball or surfing.
Rain? It could make the party scene in the bars even more intense!
One of the top places to party for Cinco de Mayo – the gringo’s celebration of Mexican independence, though it’s not really Mexican independence – is the South Bay Beach Cities of Los Angeles. That means Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.
I’ll be at the latter, El Porto, in fact, where the prime place in the whole area is Pancho’s.
I’ll be starting in the middle of the afternoon, and also hitting OB’s and Sharkeez right across the street. It’s a trio of top Mexican fun!
Salud!
