There are also two free, open-to-the-public events, the Tiki Marketplace and the Art Show. The marketplace is the world’s largest place for all things tiki. It has crafters, tinkerers and traders. Many vendors create limited edition items specifically for Tiki Oasis. Both are at the Tiki Oasis location, the Town & Country hotel on Hotel Circle Drive in San Diego’s Mission Valley area.
The Marketplace is open Saturday and Sunday Aug. 5 & 6 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in the Town & Country’s Golden State Ballroom. There is a special preview, along with a Sip n’n Shop for weekend ticket holders on Friday, Aug. 4, from 3-8 p.m, in the same location.
