Prague The Least Expensive Location In BLOOMY DAYS Romance Survey

In fact, Feb. 14 can be quite pricey, especially in some places.
Online florist BLOOMY DAYS has researched the most expensive and least costly cities around the world for Valentine’s Day and found that Los Angeles is at the top of the high end while Prague is the best bargain budget location.
BLOOMY DAYS looked at the average costs for a dozen red roses, a day ticket for two to a spa, a meal and wine for two in a Michelin star standard restaurant or equivalent, an evening for two to the movies (with snacks), and a night in a luxury hotel.
It ranked its findings from least to most expensive, led by Prague and followed by Cork, Ireland; Madrid; Belfast; and Cardiff, UK. The survey involved 50 cities and at the very bottom – meaning it’s the most expensive – is Los Angeles. Yes, LaLa Land. Venice, New York, Sydney and Zurich round out the top 5 of costliest Valentine’s Day cities.
“We believe little luxuries needn’t be costly, whether it’s a vase of roses on your doorstep or a romantic city break away,” said Lucas Bast, CMO of BLOOMY DAYS, who was obviously referring to the least expensive options so people could have money left over to buy those all-important flowers.
“This study is interesting for those planning a last-minute Valentine’s getaway and those curious as to where they can get a great deal on romantic gestures.”
According to BLOOMY DAYS, the price of a dozen roses in Los Angeles is $50.83, a day at a spa is $141.11, dinner at a a 1-star Michelin restaurant with wine is a whopping $548.97, movie tickets with snacks is $40.52 and a night in a luxury hotel is $535.93 for a total tab of $1,316.26.
