Dutton-Goldfield Winery Hosting Event With Sensual Cookbook Author Amy Reiley
Here’s a unique way to spend a special Valentine’s Day: attend a food and wine paring with aphrodisiac foods.
The Dutton-Goldfield winery in Sebastopol, CA, is hosting just such an event, which features pairings of Dutton-Goldfield’s limited production single vineyard wines with aphrodisiac bites of foods.
During the pairing, author and Master of Gastronomy Amy Reiley will be teaching couples the ins and outs of the pairings and how they can enhance their love life.
After the pairing and seminar, there is a private wine reception in the vineyard’s tasting room.
Here are the pairings of the wines and the food, the latter of which is being prepared by Chef Larry Willis of The Gables Wine Country Inn.
• Honey Carrot Soup – 2015 Dutton-Goldfield Chileno Valley Vineyard Riesling, Marin County
• Afternoon delight crab salad – 2014 Rued Vineyard Chardonnay, Green Valley of Russian River Valley
• Albondigas – 2014 Devil’s Gulch Vineyard Pinot Noir, Marin County
• White truffle scented wild mushroom risotto – 2014 McDougall Vineyard Pinot Noir
Reiley’s first book, Fork Me, Spoon Me: the sensual cookbook, established her as America’s leading aphrodisiac food authority. She now has a website, EatSomethingSexy.com, and has appeared on The Today Show, CBS Early Show, Nightline and Playboy TV.
The cost of the pairing is $135 a couple for Dutton-Goldfield wine club members, $175 a couple for non-members. Included in the price are both of Reiley’s books.
Those attending the pairing and staying at The Gables Inn on Valentine’s Weekend will receive a complimentary bottle of Sonoma County sparkling wine, a red rose and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
