Grand Tasting On Embarcadero Highlights 10th Annual Event Nov. 18-24
You know you want to go, so get out the dough.
Or, rather the credit card. The dough – and what’s made with it – comes later.
The 10th annual San Diego Wine & Food Festival is Nov. 18-24. And while it may seem a bit of advance planning overkill to get tickets in October, before you’ve even thought about your Halloween costume, it’s as important as prepping your food. Because if you don’t get tickets pronto, then you’ll likely be hearing people talking about it rather than going yourself.
The event is so cool, such a “must-do” event in San Diego, that it sells out each year. And it’s no one-hit wonder, either; while the main event is the Grand Tasting on the Embarcadero on Saturday the 23rd, it also has another grand event, the Reserve Tasting, on Friday night.
That plus a series of smaller events, which in 2013 includes a 5K followed by a feast, a yoga brunch, cheese tastings and a Stella Artois beer luncheon. Yes, there’s beer – very good beer – at the Wine & Food Festival.
Ticket prices are $125 for the 3-hour Grand Tasting, $125 for the Vault Reserve Tasting and most of the other events (primarily consisting of intimate tastings and pairings with demonstrations) are $45-75.
Once you get your tickets in advance, then raise a glass of wine (or good beer, like Stella Artois) and give yourself a big “cheers.” Because you won’t have to worry about it come late November.
