What is more Irish than Irish whiskey?

Oh, a pint of Irish beer in a pub, a leprechaun and lads named O’Leary and O’Brien, of course, but Irish whiskey is as much as part of the culture as the shamrock. So when George Roe & Co Distillery in Dublin comes up with a few St. Patrick’s Day-themed cocktails, you know they are true to the spirit of the Land of Saints and Scholars.

Roe & Co is made from the finest hand-selected stocks of Irish malt and grain whiskies, aged in bourbon casks. Master Blender Caroline Martin used her 30 years of experience to created a versatile, premium whiskey. Roe & Co is a luxuriously smooth blend with a perfect harmony between the intense fruitiness of the malt and the mellow creaminess of the grain whiskies.

Here are the cocktails with the recipes.

ROE & CO SMASH

INGREDIENTS:

• 1.5 oz Roe & Co
• 0.5 oz Sugar Syrup
• 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
• 8 Mint Leaves
• 3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
• Top with Soda Water
• Garnish with the Sprig of Fresh Mint

EQUIPMENT:

• Highball Glass
• Spoon

METHOD: Add all ingredients (apart from Soda) to a highball glass and stir to combine all the ingredients. Add crushed ice to the top. Top with fresh soda water and stir once more. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

THE ROE LIFE HI-BALL

INGREDIENTS:

• 1.25 oz Roe & Co
• 0.5 oz Milk Punch (Homemade or Purchased)
• 1 oz Lemon Soda (or Fever Tree Yuzu if you are feeling spunky)

EQUIPMENT:

• Highball Glass
• Ice

METHOD: Combine ingredients in glass and garnish with edible seasonal flowers.
