September is California Wine Month in the wine country state and that means there are hundreds if not thousands of events at wineries to celebrate the fall harvest. They can be fun – some involve grape stomping parties followed by wine tastings – and educational to attend.
But finding them all or even a few can be as confusing as trying to pick out a good bottle of pinot noir. Fortunately, PubClub.com is here to help as we have done some of the work for you and also have good tips on how to find fun events for California Wine Month.

Visit A Winery

The very best way to learn about and to attend a California Wine Month event is to go a winery. That seems as obvious as having white wine with fish, but sometimes the most obvious things are the overlooked things.
Wine Clubs
If you belong to a wine club, then it’s likely you have been invited to an event or have received a list of events at the winery. If you are not a member of a wine club, then consider joining one.
Wine Tasting Rooms

This is the most fun way to learn about, and perhaps even stumble into, an event. Wine tasting rooms offer intimate settings for wine tastings with wine experts who likely know of harvest happenings at specific events.
If you happen to be in Carmel, Monterey, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara or other small towns that have an abundance of wine tasting rooms within walking distance, then you simply “wine tasting room” hop and create your own event. Many will likely have wine events anyway.
Your Local Wine Store
It is quite possible that a good local wine store employee will know about events in the area, or perhaps the store is having one of its own. Maybe you’ll even get lucky and be there when a rep a for a winery is there, at your local grocery store or wine outlet store.
