Vietti Wines To Be Paired With Six-Course Meal At Long Beach Restaurant

This sure is going the distance to make a wine pairing with dinner memorable.
Winemaker Luca Currado Vietti of Vietti Wines is coming in all the way from Italy to be on hand for a six-course dinner at Michael’s On Naples in Long Beach, CA.
The event takes place July 17 at 6:30 p.m.
This seemed so unbelievable to me – that not just a representative of the winery but the actual winemaker would travel more than 6,000 miles for an event in a restaurant – I had to rub my eyes and had to re-read the press release about five times.
Well, the Italians do love their food. And their wine.
No doubt Currado Vietti will be working the room, explaining all the wines to the guests. You might assume that being a part of this would cost a fortune, say, about the same as one of those Transpac yachts that have been sitting in Rainbow Harbor. But it’s only $95, which is a bargain, really.
The menu has been created by Executive Chef David Coleman and the wines have been selected by Sommelier Massimo Aronne,
