5 Reasons Why Women Are Often Better Wingmen Than Men
There is a great misnomer about wingmen and it goes like this: only a guy can be one and that girls make terrible ones.
While largely based on many mens’ experiences, it’s not entirely true. In fact, if you’re a guy, you could be missing out on a lot of singles action by not having a girl as a wingman. Here’s why:
1.) Girl Wingmen Attract The Attention Of Other Girls
If a girl in a bar sees you taking to another girl, then she knows girls are comfortable being around you. Seeing this, she feels secure. Girls also like what they don’t – or can’t – have, and that’s why you get a lot more attention from girls than going in alone or with a guy. You are more attractive to them when you’re with a girl.
I cannot count the number of times I have been pretty much ignored by girls yet gone in the same bar with the same people while with a girl or on a date and had girls either staring at me or starting conversations.
2.) Girls Know How To Talk To Girls
There is some kind of secret code – secret to guys, anyway – that girls speak and having a girl go break the ice to a girl you’re interested puts you in a far better position than you tying yourself. Or having a guy wingman try it.
3.) Girls Can Read Other Girls Better Than Men
Say you’ve got your eye on a particular girl. In normal circumstances you would let your guy wingman and start forming a plan to meet her. But a girl can sense things in other girls that is unintelligible to the male species. It could be that they spot a real character weakness (this has saved me a couple of times!) or something else about them that you didn’t notice because you were focused on other things. Hey it happens! Girls also seem to be able to pick up little things in other girls’ mannerisms and conversations that men simply can’t detect. Maybe your female wingman even spied a wedding ring on your potential target; personally I’m terrible at spotting those things.
4.) Girls Are More In Tune To More Than Looks
A girl can tell by the way a girl carries herself, the way she’s dressed and other factors which make for a better match than men, who are focused more on her looks and whether or not he thinks he can get her into bed right away.
5.) Your Guy Wingman May Be An Idiot
Raise your hand if this has happened to you. Your guy wingman is an idiot and he blows it by going up to a girl or group of girls and saying something stupid. The girls make a reaction – or worse, yet, an “ewwww” sound and you’re toast for all other girls. That’s the time to try another bar – and get another wingman.
