Cheers To Johnny Football For Tweeting His Trip
If you didn’t like him before, here’s a great reason to like him now.
Johnny Manziel, the slippery and elusive Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M, is going to Cabo San Lucas for Spring Break.
While there’s nothing unusual for a football player to be doing something fun, it is highly unusual in this day and age for a star to be telling everyone about it.
Here’s what he Tweeted: “Spring Break! Finally ready for some time with the crew and well needed trip to Cabo!”
Well good for him. Perhaps he will run into my friend Jason who runs CaboSpringBreak.com. He does huge party groups and if Johnny Football goes to Squid Roe, he will definitely see them enjoying themselves.
Perhaps, though, Manziel won’t party at all, Maybe he’ll just hang out on the beach and go fishing. Cabo, after all, is one of the top destinations in the world for marlin fishing.
Me, the only fishing I do when I go to Cabo is fishing for compliments.
If Manziel does go to the bars, will he prove as elusive to cell phone cameras and social media as he is to defenses on the football field? One second they’ve got him, and another he’s across the room headed in a completely different direction?
Whatever the situation, here’s some PubClub.com advice for Manziel, as well as anyone going to Cabo: Take lots of American cash with you and use it instead of credit cards. If you use credit cards, the bill can suddenly be for more than the actual price (new charges or higher-priced beers seem to suddenly appear on the card). And pay for each round in cash, so don’t run tabs. Also, don’t use the ATMs because there is a whopping service fee of $10. Or more.
If you’re in Cabo and see Johnny Football, give him a “cheers.” Make it quick, though, he could be gone in a flash.
