Dealing With The Coronavirus Lockdown With #StayAtHome Personal Parties

I don’t like it.
But I accept it.
I don’t like having to #stayathome, not being able go out to the bars or nightclubs, not being able to sit at the bar of a restaurant having a beer, enjoying a lively Happy Hour and, well, flirting with the girls that go into those places.
It’s difficult to walk down a major nightlife area during primetime on a Friday night and see it dark and deserted.
But I have accepted it as part of live during the COVID-19 outbreak.
And even if I didn’t, too bad, right? After all, what can I do about it but accept the situation, deal with it and look forward to when we can all go out again and enjoy the great nightlife, festivals, concerts and events around the world.
So what am I doing now that I’m not tearing it up at the bars and nightclubs around the world? I’m having one-man parties at home. A friend set up the PubClub.com YouTube channel on my TV so I can watch the fun party videos of the past on a big screen while dreaming of the future.
I am also watching past episodes of PubClub LIVE, a party if ever there was one. You’ve GOT to see the one from Inisfree Pub in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where the Zeta sorority girls dance to and sing the lyrics to the Bama version of “Dixieland Delight.”
With wine or rum drinks, I watch music videos or listen to TropRock radio, imagining being on a boat in the British Virgin Islands or being on some sandy paradise like Waikiki Beach.
But oh, I do miss the nightlife.
I miss going to the bars, having beers and engaging with people.
To me, it’s the people that make going out so much fun. They are the entertainment; the venue simply provides the party platform.
But that is not the world we are living in at the moment. I am dealing with it. And I suggest you do the same.
Cheers!
