Coachella Meets Spring Break At This Desert Oasis Festival

I messed up, screwed up, dropped the ball, whatever you want to call it.
This from a guy who lives in fear of being woken up one morning by a group of laughing friends telling me I should have been there last night.
That sort of happened when I was sent photos from an event called Vestal Village. It took place April 14-17 and I had an invitation to attend. But I did not and have no good excuse for missing it, either.
A Pool Party To DJ Nightclub
Vestal Village is a private festival in the Los Angeles desert area around Palm Springs with a pool party, bands, DJs, a nighttime campsite party and bars all around the village mixed in with activities such as horseback riding and hiking.
In other words, it’s kind of a Coachella meets Spring Break.
You camp out, party all day by the pool or by (or in) a pond, do one of activities, listen to bands and DJs like you’re at a big music festival, then gather around the campfire at night for a great bonding experience with like-minded people, then party like you’re in a Vegas nightclub.
You spend at least half your time in a bathing suit.
All of this is, without a doubt, right in my wheelhouse. What more could one want, especially in the middle of April before all the summertime activities and travel fill up the party calendar?
Obviously, several people were smarter than me, went to it and had a blast. The event had close to 1.5 million interactions on Instagram and nearly another million on Facebook.

One of the reasons I balked was that it actually looked to be too good to be true, like some type of desert mirage. Surely this can’t be going on right under my nose. How could I or any of my friends not know about it!?
That’s as weak of an excuse as a girl breaking a date because she has to wash her hair, but there you have it.
On the upside, I still have next year to look forward to it!
