More Than 1,500 Musicians Enter Contest For September Music Festival In Panama City Beach
More than 1,500 bands responded to an opportunity to play at the inaugural Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, which is taking place this fall in Panama City, Beach, FL.
The response was so overwhelming and the quality of the musicians so impressive that festival organizers have increased the number of bands it will features from six to nine. Currently, the original submissions have been narrowed to 38 bands and the winners will announced on June 12.
Fans can also vote on their favorites.
Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam is set for Sept. 26-28 at the Edgewater Golf & Beach Resort, The Boardwalk Beach Resort and Seahaven Beach Resorts. It features bands on six stages and nightly headliners are Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, and Trace Adkins.
Organizers expect more than 15,000 people will attend, which involves music in the daytime along the beach – in which people will also be able to stand in the Gulf of Mexico – and at another venue at night. Shuttle buses will provide transportation, so you can drink and have fun and not have to worry about driving.
Lodging packages, which include tickets to the three-day event, are now on sale.
