CD and Audio Book 11-City Tour Ends In Grand Style in Canadian City
They obviously love Nikki Sixx in Toronto. The former Motley Crue bassist drew a crowd of nearly 1,000 fans, some of whom camped out the night before and waited for 12 1/2 hours, to meet him at CD and audio book signing at Chapters bookstore on John St.
“Pretty much mind blowing,” Sixx said.
It was the end of an 11-city tour.
Through his band Sixx: A.M., Sixx recently released a CD, This Is Gonna Hurt on Eleven Seven Music (currently the #1 Independent Rock Album on iTunes) as well as his New York Times best-selling companion book This is Gonna Hurt: Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx (HarperCollins/William Morrow). The latter is an unabridged downloadable audio book read by Sixx and available now at audible.com, iTunes and wherever digital audio books are sold.
Sixx:A.M. is the rock band formed in 2007 by Nikki Sixx, Dj Ashba and James Michael. Their debut album, The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack, sold more than 300,000 copies and the single, “Life Is Beautiful,” became radio’s most-played rock song of 2008.
“This is Gonna Hurt,” the band’s second album, has already produced a Top 5 radio smash with the first single “Lies of the Beautiful People.”
