Country Music Festival Features Headliner Kip Moore

Remember the good ‘ol days when you could attend an event in person, put down a blanket or chairs, grab a beer, do some tailgating or listen to bands perform on a stage?
Well you can do that again, for the the Lynchburg Music Fest in the “Jack Daniels town” in Tennessee is allowing spectators. Not only that, it has expanded to three days for 2020. Daily headliners are Josh Turner in Friday, Justin Moore on Saturday and Kip Moore on Sunday.
The dates are Oct, 2, 3 & 4. The event features country music (what else in the heart of Tennessee, right!?) on three stages on 100 acres of ground. Officials brand it as “Where Music Meets Whiskey.”
You can experience it in person and also with camping. Which, frankly, is the best way to attend these multi-day festivals away from a major city. There is plenty of space to practice social distancing and other COVID-19 precautions are in place, such as a “masks required” policy in crowded areas.
For the first time, the 2020 Fest will feature a “Whiskey Row” and “Wine Circle” with tastes from several distilleries and wineries in the surrounding areas; a song crafters tent; a “Best of Fest” award with whiskey, wine, and food categories; and local vendors.
“More than just the sum of its parts – music, whiskey, and camping – Lynchburg Music Fest has a unique element to differentiate it from ‘just another festival,” said Jonny Hill, owner of Igniter Productions and Lynchburg Music Fest. “It has a strong songwriter element to add to the experience, consisting of both up-and-coming and award-winning writers!
“We are grateful this one-of-a-kind event continues to grow and can’t wait to see where the road leads from here.”
Of course there is whiskey, but there is also beer from sponsor Miller, plus seltzers from White Claw and even wine from Lynchburg Winery.
Camping in a campground and RV park are within walking distance of the festival and for those who prefer to save their energy – or are wiped out after a day on the grounds – there is a free shuttle service. There is an in/out privilege so don’t toss that ticket when you walk inside.
Tickets are super-cheap, just $25/day for GA. A three-day pass is $80. VIP is $225 (3-day only). Three-day camping is $40 GA, $60 VIP and $900 VIP Reserved.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Music starts at 5 p.m. and ends by 11 p.m.
