It is known as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” or as locals simply refer to it, “the Big Gig.”
How big is it? There are whopping 100 acts performing on an incredible 12 stages. It last for two full weeks. There’s beer – hey, it’s Milwaukee! – food, a SportsZone and even wine and cheese at the Summerfest Corkscrew.
The 2022 dates are June 23-25, June 30, July 2 and July 7-9. In case you are curious, it traditionally does not include July 4.
The lineup has nightly headliners and this year they are as follows:

• June 23 – Jason Aldean
• July 24 – Justin Beiber
• June 25 – Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Wu-Tang Clan
• June 30 – TBA
• July 1 – Machine Gun Kelley
• July 2 – Halsey
• July 7 – Rod Stewart (a Summerfest regular)
• June 8 – Backstreet Bosy
• June 9 – Thomas Rhett
Ticket prices start at $60 for multi-day passes. This includes everything except the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, which is where the headliners perform. This always requires an additional ticket.

Locals like to brag – for good reason – that Summerfest literally has music for everyone. That’s why it’s such a popular event.
The complete lineup can be found on the event’s official website, Summerfest.com.
So if you have ever wanted to visit Milwaukee for any reason, this is the time to do it. You will get the true flavor of the city and its people at its top event of the year.
