Concert Includes New Kids on the Block, UB40, Men At Work & Night Ranger

Building on a successful debut show, iHeartMedia is bringing back an 80s concert featuring several bands of that era for 2017.
Set for Jan. 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., it features live performances from New Kids on the Block, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey, Colin Hay of Men At Work, Rick Astley, Starship, Eddie Money and Night Ranger.
Called the iHeart80s Party, it’s hosted by Martha Quinn.
“The music of the 80’s defined a generation in America three decades ago — and it’s still driving pop culture today,” said John Sykes, President of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises. “Last year’s iHeart80s Party sold out in minutes, showing the enduring popularity of 80s artists and their music.”
The concert will air live on iHeartMedia’s Mainstream AC, Hot AC, and Adult Hits radio stations across the country or on iHeartRadio.
If you’re in the Bay Area, you can buy tickets on-line; prices range from $28-128. Tickets are on sale at the iHeart80s website.
Or, better yet, you can go for free.
Beginning Monday, Dec. 26, iHeartRadio will launch a four-week nationwide promotion to win a trip to San Jose and attend the concert. The promotion will run across more than 150 iHeartMedia Mainstream AC, Hot AC and Classic Hits stations.
“Launching iHeart80s on one of our FM stations in San Francisco makes the Bay Area the ideal place to host this year’s show,” said Tom Poleman, President of National Programming Group for iHeartMedia. “This year’s incredible roster of performers is a perfect example of why the ‘80s remain so popular, and we can’t wait to bring the iHeart80s Party to the Bay Area in 2017.”
