South Bay Band Back At This Legendary Live Music Venue For Several Shows
Jeremy Buck and the Bang is doing it, returning to its original live music venue, the Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA.
The Bang is not the house band there anymore – it’s doing tours across the country these days – but rather is back for a free show on Saturday, April 28 (4-8 p.m.). But the better news for South Bay live music fans is that this is no cameo. The band is going to be making regular appearances during the next few months.
“This will be the first of several shows that we plan to play at the Lighthouse this year,” the spike-haired rocker Buck said.
The band plays a kind of hip punk music, original tunes that include bringing an audience member on stage to bang on an army helmet with drum sticks. The band also plays one helluva version of Pink Floyd’s The Wall. In short, it’s a SHOW when this band plays, and the old brick walls of this dusty venue suit its style perfectly.
By the way, if you want to see Buck solo, he’s got a regular gig around the corner at Barnacles on Tuesday nights starting at 9 p.m.
