Cheap Trick To Perform Free Pre-Game Tailgate Party Concert

He once played at a strip club on Bourbon Street (the cheap one, the one with the swinging legs) and now he’s going to be on stage for the biggest football game of the season in this city.
Jimmy Buffett is singing the National Anthem before the New Orleans Saints-Los Angeles Rams game for the NFC Championship on Sunday, Jan 20.
Ironically, a bunch of Parrotheads are in the Big Easy for the annual Pardi Gras party/festival.
Buffett is a huge Saints fan and has even brought Head Coach Sean Peyton on stage with him during concerts.
Sunday Funday! Who dat!!
We are excited to share that Jimmy will be singing the National Anthem before the Saints / Rams game on FOX this Sunday afternoon. Check your local listings. @Saints pic.twitter.com/YNGlvMOknO— Jimmy Buffett (@jimmybuffett) January 17, 2019
Earlier on the same day, it was announced that Buffett will play the New Orleans Jazzfest on Saturday May 5, the second weekend of this traditional music festival and one of the Big Easy’s biggest party events.
At the Saints game, Buffet got the easy part, too – after the National Anthem he can sit back and drink margaritas. He is not part of the halftime show which features rapper Choppa; Saints players play his “Choppa Stuyle” song in their locker room before games. Choppa will be joined by the Ying Yang Twins, whose “Halftime (Stand Up and Get Crunk)” is a regular song played in Mercedes Benz Stadium for Saints games.
Before the game, Cheap Trick is playing for free at Champion’s Square. Note, to get into Champion’s Square, you have to have your ticket scanned and are searched, so you have to be going to the game and can’t bring in your own booze.
That was the worst rendition of the National Anthem I have EVER SEEN!! And I’m 52.
Anybody else have thoughts on it??
