Bands And DJs On Five Stages Feature National And Local Talent

Music festivals and Labor Day Weekend go together like beers and a lake.
And now Indianapolis is joining the party.
It has announced the inaugural White River Arts & Music Festival (shortened to WARMfest) for Aug. 31-Sept. 2 at Broad Ripple Park in downtown Indy. It features local and national bands, plus DJs, on five stages.
The initial lineup booked by MOKB Presents includes Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Michael Franti & Spearhead, JJ Grey & Mofro, G. Love & Special Sauce, Mayer Hawthorne, Delta Spirit, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Red Wanting Blue and Kopecky Family Band.
Three-day early bird admission passes for WARMfest are on sale now for only $60.00 at the event’s website (link below) or charge-by-phone at 877-4-FLY-TIX (435-9849). Single day tickets go on sale at a later date.
In addition WARMfest will also include waterfront exhibitions from local organizations, a dedicated area for non-profit environmental groups, recycling education areas, off-site parking with shuttle service to and from the event grounds and parking for bicycles.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Carl G. Fisher Society, a non-profit whose goal is to restore the waterfront of Broad Ripple.
“The vision for this festival has been developing for a few years,” stated event founder and Executive Director Dan Ripley, “and the music lineup is evolving just as we had hoped. We look forward to reintroducing Indianapolis to the Broad Ripple waterfront resort area that has been lost for decades.”
