It’s One Of The Best Nights For Bars & Nightlife

There is a misconception out there about Valentine’s Day.
The card companies, florists, jewelry stores, restaurants, wineries and other elements of commercialism – to say nothing of your significant other – will have you think it’s all about romance. Shower your date with cards, flowers, a gift, a great meal and you will have a romantic experience not forgotten until, well, you have to top it next year.
Personally, I think Valentine’s Day is a great day to be single. Here’s why; and this is from a guy’s perspective, by the way:
• No pressure! You don’t have to plan for weeks (or, in the case of some men I know, a few last-minute hours) to get the right gift, the prefect flowers, go to the right restaurant…
• No cost! No need to run up a couple hundred dollars (or more) on your credit card.
• No backlash! Suppose you did everything right except for one thing; your’e in trouble. Single people don’t have to worry about getting a backlash from your mate for any mistakes you make on this night.
• Singles bars! This is the best part because Valentine’s Day is one of the better nights of the year to be single. Girls are out because they are ticked they don’t have a boyfriend or a date while their friends are being romantic, and are thus a little more open to meeting guys than usual. Some girls are out for “revenge sex,” getting back at a recent ex-boyfriend (or husband) and will hook up with a guy they would never consider under normal circumstances. Sometimes, it’s just a random guy who happens to be standing in the right place at the right time.
Nearly every single person goes out for these reasons on Valentine’s Day and bars know it because they have themed nights with drink specials.
So single or not, enjoy your Valentine’s Day.
And night.
Interesting post!
