Don’t Let Los Angeles Earthquakes Cancel Your Summer Vacation Plans

You’re More Likely To See A Celebrity Than Experience An Earthquake In L.A.

Yes, there’s whole lotta shaking going on in the Los Angeles area these days – heck, even Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach had a little tremor – but this is no reason for tourists to cancel their summer vacation plans to visit La La Land.

In fact, if you’re like quite a few people, you may actually add Los Angeles to your travel plans in order to make earthquake viewing a unique travel experience. Quite a few people have turned a crack in the road on Highway 178 between Ridgecrest and Trona a tourist attraction and Instagrammable location.

If the thought of earthquakes scare you to the point you want to look into heading somewhere else, don’t let them. Earthquakes happen all the time in Los Angeles but only rarely are they big enough to make the news. Or cause any damage beyond knocking a few items off store shelves.

Feeling earthquakes in Los Angeles is like seeing a celebrity. You know they are there but you rarely experience their presence. Both like to hide and appear when and where you least expect them.

When you do feel (or see one) your reaction is likely be the same: “oh, is that an earthquake!?” And “oh is that so-and-so celebrity!?”

Most likely, you won’t notice either, tho they are both around you.

So you can go without worry to the Hollywood and see the Hollywood sign, to the Santa Monica Pier, to the movie set theme parks, up and down the gorgeous coastline, catch the awesome sunsets and do all the things you planned to do – and a few more if you read PubClub.com – you had planned during your vacation to L.A.

And all the while not give a thought to being caught in an earthquake.

Of course, unlike hurricanes in the Caribbean and Florida, it’s impossible to predict an earthquake. So one could hit and it might be a small tremor that only makes your legs wobble a bit or it could be a big one that has you scrambling for cover.

It’s possible. But not likely. So come to La La Land and enjoy it like a celebrity.

Whether or not you actually see one.
