This Greek Islands Paradise Has A Lot To Offer Partiers

Dancing on the bars, shots that are downed as frequently as beers and cocktails and people from all over the planet who go there basically for one single-minded purpose are all factors that combine to make Mykonos in the Greek Islands a mecca for nightlife.

This Greek Islands paradise has a lot to offer hard-core partiers.

For instance, it has Paradise Beach, where the party starts in the late afternoon. A DJ blasts music from three different bars on the sand and you either join the party or leave the beach. And with people jumping up on the bar to dance, you don’t leave until after sunset.

Later that night – but not before 11 p.m. – all party roads lead to the Skandinavian Bar, an indoor-outdoor party mecca that has a poster board on the walls listing more than a dozen shots with names like the Mind Eraser. It is appropriately named, I can assure you.

From there you branch out to the other bars – or just stay there and party all night.

The crowd is mid-20s to early-50s with the “sweet spot” being in the late 20s to mid-30s and they are from all over the globe: Australia, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, the USA and more. This international scene led to the tagline of PubClub.com: Where The World Goes To Party.

Everyone is friendly and meeting someone is as easy as saying hello.

There are no days of the week on Mykonos, so every day is a weekend and every night is Saturday night.

The key factor Mykonos has over some other top party islands in the world – Ibiza in particular – is the cost. Few bars have cover charges; in Ibiza it costs the equivalent of $50 USD and up to get into many clubs. In Mykonos, you just walk inside the place.

Sometimes, you’ll encounter someone standing at the door who charges you $5 or so, but you get a pice of paper that you can then give to the bartender to get a drink.

Beers are a very reasonable 6-8 Euros – go for the large Greek beer, Mythos – and so are all those shots. Cocktails are more, especially at higher-end places but you won’t be paying a fortune at Paradise Beach or even the Skandinavian Bar.

For the price, the people and the party scene, you can’t beat Mykonos in the Greek Islands for awesome nightlife. It’s one of the top party places in the world.
