Tua Tagovailoa Makes Debut In Dolphins Vs. Rams

The Tua Tsunami takes the field for the first time in an NFL game on Sunday as the Miami Dolphins host the LA Rams.
The Rams are coming off running away from the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football so this should be an interesting game.
Another contest that offers an intriguing matchup is the Steelers at the Ravens. One that doesn’t seem all that dramatic is the Jets at the Chiefs. That should be about as one-sided as Clemson against Georgia Tech, but the Chiefs were caught looking ahead one time already this year. Will they be focused on the Jets?
Here are my picks for this week’s games (in bold; confidence points are in the far right column). Below is an analysis of why I picked these winners and losers.
Game# | Visitor | Home | Your Pick | Conf. Pts |
1 | Atlanta Falcons | Carolina Panthers | CAR (home) | 4 |
2 | Indianapolis Colts | Detroit Lions | DET (home) | 8 |
3 | Los Angeles Rams | Miami Dolphins | MIA (home) | 1 |
4 | Las Vegas Raiders | Cleveland Browns | LV (visitor) | 2 |
5 | Minnesota Vikings | Green Bay Packers | GB (home) | 12 |
6 | New England Patriots | Buffalo Bills | BUF (home) | 3 |
7 | New York Jets | Kansas City Chiefs | KC (home) | 14 |
8 | Pittsburgh Steelers | Baltimore Ravens | BAL (home) | 6 |
9 | Tennessee Titans | Cincinnati Bengals | TEN (visitor) | 11 |
10 | Los Angeles Chargers | Denver Broncos | LAC (visitor) | 9 |
11 | New Orleans Saints | Chicago Bears | CHI (home) | 5 |
12 | San Francisco 49ers | Seattle Seahawks | SF (visitor) | 7 |
13 | Dallas Cowboys | Philadelphia Eagles | PHI (home) | 10 |
14 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | New York Giants | TAM (visitor) | 13 |
Atlanta at Carolina. No matter what happens at any point during the game, the Falcons will find a way to lose it.
Indianapolis at Detroit. And to think some people believed that Philip Rivers would be the savior for Indy.
LA Rams at Miami. Tua, a W in debut? Sure, why not, if he’s anything like he was at Bama (and the receivers can catch his well-thrown balls).
Las Vegas at Cleveland. I was impressed that Baker Mayfied threw what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown last week, right on the heels of the Bengals scoring what appeared to be the game-winning TD. But this is Cleveland so consistency is always a concern. Plus, Odell Beckham, Jr., is out for the year.
Minnesota at Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers will just be toying with the Vikings D.
New England at Buffalo. Think Bill Belichick is wishing Tom Brady had stayed in New England? Of course, but why did he replace him with not one but two Auburn quarterbacks!? Thought he wanted to win.
New York at Kansas City. It’s one of the NFL’s best teams against its worst. This should be a rout.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore. According to one of my Pittsburgh friends, the Ravens are a thorn in the Steelers side. Another Pittsburg friend says that’s not necessarily the case. But it will be on this day.
LA Chargers at Denver. The Chargers will charge right past the offensively-challenged Broncos.
New Orleans at Chicago. For some reason, I feel the offensive-challenged Bears will shut down the dumbing-off Brees crew.
San Francisco at Seattle. Russell Wilson looked unreal against Arizona. For the most part and it was that other that should concern Seahawks fans. Meanwhile, the 49ers seem to have found gold with a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo.
Dallas at Philadelphia. The Eagles should win this in a rout against a team with no cohesiveness and several starters out with injuries. If they don’t, then they are really bad.
Tampa Bay at NY Giants. Tom Brady against that defense? He probably can’t wait to take the field for this one.
