A Virtual Wine Tasting Of Willamette Valley Wines

Oregon is an area known for its craft beers, but it also has some outstanding wineries and featured one on the #MenWhoBlog Virtual Happy livestream show.
Bells Up Winery in Newberg presented a virtual wine tasting on the show on Thursday, June 11. The show aired on Thursday, June 11 on the PubClub and Men Who Blog Facebook and Twitter pages. Below are the links to those PubClub.com social media channels:

The featured wines were:
• 2019 Prelude Estate “Brosé” of Pinot Noir (big, bold, beefy rosé)
• 2017 Titan Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
• 2018 Firebird Walla Walla Valley AVA Syrah, a bold red – or as bold a red as it gets for this small winery’s production.
The winery co-owner is Dave Specter conducted the virtual wine tasting. He has won two amateur national winemaking competitions for his Syrah/Petit Sirah blend and Seyval Blanc and that gave him the confidence to become a full-time winemaker. He is the winery’s co-owner along with his wife, Sara Pearson Specter.
Bell’s up is a small winery upon a 9-acre Bells Up estate vineyard comprised entirely of Jory soil and located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA just north of Newberg.
The name “Bells Up” ties together the winery’s location on Bell Road with Spector’s 20-plus years as a French horn player. The musical term refers to a dramatic moment in classical music where the composer’s score instructs the French horn players to lift the bells of their instruments up to project their sound with maximum intensity. The winery, says Dave, is his #bellsupmoment.
The #MenWhoBlog Virtual Happy is a twice-weekly show featuring wineries, craft breweries, distilleries, travel destinations and regional musicians. It airs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 ET, 3:30 CT and 1:3o PT on the PubClub.com and MenWhoBlog.com Facebook and Twitter social media accounts, as well as on YouTube.
