Guests Include Industry Experts, Live Music, PubClubette Ashley, Our Own Bartender And Two Entertaining Co-Hosts
When we could not go to a happy hour due to the coronavirus #stayhome orders, we began bringing the happy hour to you.
That is why PubClub.com and MenWhoBlog.com combined to create the #MenWhoBlog Virtual Happy Hour, a livestream show featuring craft beer, spirits, wine and travel. Broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, it can be found on various social media channels, including here on YouTube.
Shows start at 4:30 p.m, Eastern, 3:30 Central and 1:30 out here on the West Coast. The co-hosts are myself and James Hills of Men Who Blog and also ManTripping.com.
The shows also feature PubClubette Ashley as a regular guest, Virtual Happy Hour bartender Gabi who makes not just good quarantine cocktails but also exotic drinks such as the Pupula from Smugger’s Cove tiki bar in San Francisco. Tom Fischer of BourbonBlog.com, and other influential bloggers are regular guests.
Craft beers have included Project Barley from Lomita, CA; and AleSmith in San Diego.
Spirits brands have included a taste testing with Bacardi’s National Rum Ambassador (a title I wish I had, by the way), Ron Barcelo Dominican Republic rum; IZO Spirits, a potent mezcal distributed by a San Diego-based distillery; Jimador tequila (we made margaritas for our Cinco de Mayo show) Johnny Walker (red and black); Riff Kentucky rye; Old Camp, a pecan peach whiskey from the band Florida-Georgia Line; Old Camp peach whiskey; and Traverse City (MI) Whiskey Co.
Wines have included Doffo Winery in Temecula, CA; and Rancho Guejito Vineyard in San Diego County.
Tourism guests have or will include Traverse City, Michigan; the Southern California wine country of Temecula; and Florida’s Historic Coast, which involves St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra.
