PRESIDENT’S DAY WEEKEND
It’s party time again for Americans on Feb. 16-18 for the three-day President’s Day Weekend. Since Washington and Lincoln were born at about the same time, their birthdays are one holiday and it is a time (in theory anyway) as a celebration for all U.S. presidents. Since it’s in February, instead of backyard BBQs and going to the beach, a lot of Americans head to the slopes for skiing and snowboarding. Which reminds us of when carloads of singles from LA’s Beach Cities would meet in Mammoth Mountain for a mammoth party weekend.
