A Review of the Downtown Nightclub’s Penguin & Panther Black Bash

The Infusion Lounge is one of San Francisco’s coolest clubs.
And on a frosty Saturday night it October, it was even cool enough for penguins.
The downtown nightclub hosted its annual big bash, a red carpet event, and this one was called Penguins and Panthers. And sure enough, there were both at it, and not stuffed ones or people in costumes, but the real things.
Yes, live animals in a nightclub. And one not in Vegas.

To check it out, PubClub.com dispatched our San Francisco nightlife “mole” to the club, and here is his report:
“The venue is big, well laid out into a couple of different rooms. Someone spent a lot of money on it.
“The crowd is young and multi-ethnic (mostly Asian, Latino, Persian, etc.), with lots of hipster types. There were definitely some hotties at the place!
“My favorite part of the night were the live penguins. Yes, live penguins! They were in the Go-Go dancers pit for the first hour or so, looking thoroughly confused. I took a pic of one of them and he promptly took a crap!
“Then, some guy rushed in from behind me with a handy-wipe and cleaned it up pronto. Now THAT’S a dirty job.
“They also had a live panther, a gorgeous cat. At least he wasn’t in the middle of the dance area! He was upstairs.”
“I then spend much of the rest of the night at the bar talking with several different people. It was a black party and there were quite a few attractive girls in short, black skirts.
“I’m not the type who really goes to these clubs very often, but I had a really good time.”
