A Lighthearted Comparison Inspired by a Visit to Switzerland’s Wine Country
The Swiss may never officially endorse this comparison, but after spending time in Switzerland’s wine country, I couldn’t help noticing a few amusing similarities between Swiss wines and Swiss women. All are offered in good fun—and with admiration.

Here’s another reason to fall in love with Switzerland.
Everyone knows Switzerland has a lot of attractions – the Alps, its ski slopes, neat villages, incredibly scenic lakes and rivers and vibrant cities – but it also has a pair of things that are not quite as recognized by the world.
And that’s the country’s wine and its women. If you’ve never been around either, then you’re missing out on something spectacular. And it doesn’t take long to realize that the two have quite a bit in common. That’s why PubClub.com has put together this list of why the two are so similar.
1.) They Are Both Subtle. But Also Sophisticated
Swiss wines don’t jump out at you with super-bold flavors, but rather they ease their way into the palate. Likewise, Swiss women are initially subtle. But with each, you quickly learn they are sophisticated; the Swiss wines are more complex than they first appear and the Swiss women are smart and worldly.
2.) They Both Have Light Bodies
Swiss wines are not heavy and neither are the girls! The wine is light and smooth and the girls mostly tall and thin – some have the girth of a fence post – often sporting those cool “European glasses.” And that’s sexy.
3.) Each Has An Accent
The wine is an excellent accent to a fine Swiss meal and the Swiss girls have a delectable accent that gets a single guy’s blood boiling.
4.) The More Time You Spend With Them The More You Like Them
Your first sip of a Swiss wine is not an overwhelming “wow!” But after a few more sips you say, “hey, this is really good.” Before long, you can’t get enough of it. Swiss women are similar; because they are initially subtle and also sophisticated, you tend to start out with a cautions approach. But after a while – and especially after a few glasses of Swiss wine with them – then you’re hopelessly smitten.
5.) They Are Both Best Enjoyed With The Beautiful Scenery Of Switzerland
There’s the beauty of the wine, the beauty of the girls and combine that with the beauty of Switzerland – what could be better!?
