An indoor-outdoor pub and club combo, the Skandinavian Bar is legendary throughout the globe and its party attitude makes it one of the top bars and clubs in all the Greek Islands.
It is actually three bars in one. Four if you count the street, in which people hang out with drinks, mingle with other pubclubbers and do what single people do in the Greek Island when they are at a bar (there is no need to explain what that is, of course). The Skandinavian Bar has a pair of small pubs with a narrow street in between them and on top of one is a rocking, sweaty all-out-party dance club.
What makes it such a great place is that it’s a bar for everyone, pubbers and clubbers alike. You can go there to hang out and you can go there to dance. Few bars offer both. And it’s not the least bit pretentious (celebrities, which have made Mykonos a haven for the rich and famous, go instead to posh places on the other side of the island). You won’t find celebrity prices for drink here, either.
Like all fun bars in the Greek Islands, it has more shots than you can possibly imagine, let alone drink, even if you go there every night for a week. They are posted on posters taped to the wall. You can show up in your shorts and sandals. This is PubClub.com’s type of bar.
As a bonus, it is located in Mykonos Town (Chora to the locals) with several other nightlife options all around it. Somehow, tho, people are drawn to Skandinavian Bar like moths to a light. Part of the reason is you always know what you will get – a fun bar with lots of fun people.
No doubt about it, the Skandinavian Bar is indeed one of the top nightlife spots in all the Greek Islands.
