Free Tribute Shows On Friday & Saturday Nights In The LA Mountain Village

Ih the mountains outside of Los Angeles – but not quite to Big Bear – the village of Lake Arrowhead holds free musical shows from May thru Labor Day, including a show and fireworks on the 4th of July.
The Summer Concert Series features primarily rock ‘n roll tribute bands – The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, the Beach Boys and even Bruno Mars.
The shows are held in a small outdoor area in the Village, a compact area of shops and a few restaurants and bars. The crowds are mostly locals who have summertime cabins in Arrowhead, which is to say this isn’t exactly a wild singles scene. But there are some youthful people scattered about and overall the shows are a very good time, well worth a weekend road trip, if only for a Friday or Saturday night.
There’s beer and wine at the shows and there’s a lot more to drink about a 30-second walk from the venue. In other words, you won’t go thirsty here.
The shows start at 6 p.m., and go until just past sunset. Then, of course you pop into the LAB (Lake Arrowhead Bar) for one or two more drinks, tho if you really want to party it does not start to fill up with the locals until about 10 p.m.
Other places to have drinks are Papagayos Mexican Restaurant & Cantina the for its potent margaritas on the patio overlooking the lake, Lakefront Tap Room and the peaceful deck at The Grapevine wine bar.
Seating on the concrete steps is $30 for two people, and the free lawn chair section is on the grass at the back of the venue.

Do you ever have any bands like Santana?
First time on this site. Do you ever have any bands like Santana?
The bands change slightly every year. Don’t recall Santana but there’s definitely variety from year to year.
If you’re looking to book any bands for 2022 festivals, check out Celebrating Queen.
Cool; thanks!
