Welcome to the PubClub.com Party Report!

This is a rundown of top things happening in and around Los Angeles, which an emphasis on the South Bay Beach Cities.

Friday’s Featured Event

People mingle at the Shade Hotel’s Sea Level lounge in Redondo Beach, CA.

• Shade Hotel’s 1-Year Anniversary Party 6 p.m.-1 a.m.

It’s a party by the water as Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach celebrates its first year as a hotel and happening bar. Overlooking the sailboats of King Harbor Marina, there’s champagne for the first 100 guests, drink specials and – you can bet – a very well-groomed South Bay crowd. It’s free to attend but you need to RSVP for it in advance.

Saturday’s Featured Events

• South Bay Oktoberfest, 2-6 p.m.

The next day, also in Redondo Beach by King Harbor, a different kind of party is taking place, and this one involves people drinking beer in barmaid outfits and lederhosen. It’s the second annual South Bay Oktoberfest, an outdoor party involving several of the hottest singles in the Beach Cities. In addition to beers, there’s spirits and wines. There’s also a DJ and a band. It’s $40 but hit the link below for a $5 coupon code. Of course, you don’t have to dress up but it helps set the mood. Ein prosit!

• Diner en Blanc, Evening

The famous dinner that started in Paris has come to Los Angeles. This exclusive event takes place at a location and time not revealed until two hours before it begins, and invited guests must be dressed in all white, down to the shoes.

This is a really fun event and while you’ve got to be invited to be on the list, you can still try and see if its possible to squeeze into it. Diner en Blanc is an outdoor dinner party with people from all over the city – strangers until you show up – and guests must bring their own everything, including table, chairs, plates, silverware, you name it. You can purchase food, wine and champagne in advance or bring your own food.

PubClub Travel – Las Vegas Update

The spirit of the people in the face of tragedy can really warm the heart. That’s the situation in Las Vegas as memorials to each of the 58 victims have been set up on the site of the mass shootings. There are white painted crosses, made by a guy in Illinois who drove them down to Vegas in his pickup truck. To that, people have added flowers, photos, balloons and American flags. If you’re in Vegas, stop by and take a look at this makeshift memorial. It will be up for another three weeks; then the crosses will be given to family members of the victims.

PubClub Travel – Wine Country Fires Update

Houses are destroyed in Orange County and things are really bad in Napa and Sonoma County, the heart of California’s wine country. PubClub.com is keeping up to date on the situation, and if you have any travel plans to either of these areas, you had better change them because officials are asking you to stay away until further notice.
