LINQ Promenade Bartenders Making Drinks & Live Entertainment On The LV Strip
New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas doesn’t end with New Year’s Eve.
Oh, no, not by a long shot.
In Vegas, there’s also New Year’s Day. And that means starting out with a bottomless mimosa brunch at one of the casinos, going to the sports books for the college bowl games – or in the case this year, the NFL games – and, new in 2017, a cocktail contest.
Bartenders from six bars on the LINQ Promenade at mid-Strip will be taking place in the inaugural National Hangover Day Cocktail Competition. Free and open to the public, the bartenders will be going against one another to create the perfect anti-hangover drink. It takes place from 2-2:30 p.m., and is part of an afternoon of live entertainment at The LINQ taking place from noon-4 p.m.
Perhaps they should call it the “Hair of the Dog” cocktail competition.
The event’s emcee is Murray: The Celebrity Magician, currently appearing at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The event puts LINQ Promenade’s bars against one another before a panel of three judges. First, second and third-place winners will receive a pair of show tickets to “Absinthe,” “Penn & Teller” and “Mat Franco,” respectively.
The winning drink will then be poured in the bartender’s bar throughout the day.
