The Roaring 2020s Start With LSU vs. Clemson & Pardi Gras

The Big Easy goes big to open the Roaring 2020s with two major party events in January that may have some calling for their own Prohibition for a few days afterward.
The College Football Playoffs are Monday, Jan 13 – with LSU playing in it, no less – followed the next weekend by the Jimmy Buffett Parrothead party called Pardi Gras.
With these two back-to-back events, New Orleans is THE place to party in January. Here’s a rundown of each.
National Championship – LSU vs. Clemson

You could not script this any better if you tried. LSU, having a dream season, is playing for what was previously an unfathomable thought, a National Championship with Ed Orgeron as coach. LSU fans love to party and being able to do so for a title and in New Orleans, well, let’s just say the town is going to rock like it’s Mardi Gras.
LSU’s opponent is Clemson, which will step up its party game with its fun fans. Oh my, the Big Easy is going to be a big party starting on Friday when fans start to arrive in town.
Pardi Gras 2020
Right on the heels of the championship game – and don’t be surprised if a few straggling fans are still wondering around Bourbon Street – comes in the party-hearty Partotheads. They are taking part in the annual Pardi Gras, a multi-day event involving a block party, a pub crawl and lots of drinking in Bourbon Street bars to Jimmy Buffett music.
