New Orleans is a year-round party yet added to this like shrimp into gumbo are a number of fun events that add even more spice to the city.

PubClub.com has compiled this list of our top events, along with a description and the dates for 2025. For you singles out there, these are the prime times to be in New Orleans.

• New Year’s Eve In New Orleans, Dec, 31/Jan. 1

New Orleans is PubClub’s #1 destination for NYE and one time there you will understand why it made it to the top of our list. It’s a big party and it’s easy to party there; heck you don’t even have to go into a bar because you can get drinks in the French Quarter and roam up and down Bourbon Street.

Tens of thousands of people agree, and pack into Jackson Square for the fireworks, then go back to Bourbon Street for fun until nearly dawn. Or they’ve had enough and stumble, all hammered, into the Krystal Burger. one of the best NYE early-morning pickup places in New Orleans.

• The Sugar Bowl In New Orleans, Jan. 1

The annual cvent is now part of the expanded 12-team College Football Playoffs. There will be a lot of college football fans in town wearing their school shirts and colors roaming in and out of the Bourbon Street bars.

• Pardi Gras In New Orleans, Jan 16-19

A party for Parrotheads and lovers of the tropical lifestyle – Jimmy Buffett has roots in New Orleans – this is a three-day festival with trop/rock bands, a parade down Bourbon Street and lots and lots of Hurricanes and Hand Grenades consumed the entire time.

• Mardi Gras In New Orleans, March 5 (Fat Tuesday)

This folks, is what New Orleans is all about, a series of parades over a two-week period prior to and leading into Fat Tuesday that has hundreds of thousands of people in the ultimate festive mood. Talk about a singles event – you won’t have any trouble meeting people at Mardi Gras. Staying sober enough to do something about it may be your biggest challenge.

• St. Patrick’s Day In New Orleans, March 17

Yes, St. Paddy’s Day if great in New Orleans! And guess what – it’s on a Friday in 2017.

• French Quarter Festival In New Orleans, April 10-12

Locals – and visitors in the know – get fired up for the upcoming Jazzfest with this free music and food festival in the French Quarter. More than 100,000 people go to it during its four-day run and it’s a free-wheeling great event for anyone who loves music, food, having fun and meeting fun people.

• Jazzfest In New Orleans, April 24-May 4

Two weekends of music from top bands (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel and Neil Young are among the big names who have played in the past) with music on several stages held on the infield of a horse race track. This is one of the most popular music festivals in the country, and an annual rite of passage for many New Orleans regulars.

It’s one big party, all day and into the night at the live music bars, on Frenchman Street (locals) and Bourbon Street (visitors).

• Tales Of The Cocktail In New Orleans, July 20-25

A series of events based around, well, having cocktails. This is a big event for people in the spirits industry. You do have to register to attend the events at: TalesOfTheCocktail.com,

• Halloween In New Orleans, Oct, 31

It should come as no surprise that New Orleans is a top Halloween destination. There’s all that voodoo culture in the city, ghost tours and the general feeling among the Cajuns that they would rather die while they are living than live when they are dead.
