Welcome to the PubClub.com South Bay Party Report – Easter Edition!

The Party Report is brought to you by Kona Brewing Company, makers of those great Aloha-spirited beers – perfect for our upcoming sunny Easter weekend!
This is a look at events happening in around Los Angeles on Easter Weekend, ranging from Coachella to a Sunday brunch on the water and a hunt for hidden beer kegs that’s really more like a pub crawl.
Before you start hopping around wondering what to do this weekend, make it a point to know these two things:
• EL SEGUNDO KEG HUNT IS SATURDAY
• If you want a team you had better sign up now! This is a really fun event in which you bar-hop (get it, ha!) through El Segundo and play games to get clues to find kegs of beer decorated as Easter eggs that are buried and hidden at various locations in Gundo. That’s the theory anyway; in reality you have no chance of finding the kegs because some clever people figure it out before you’re finished at your first bar, so you give up and basically turn it into a pub crawl.
Teams dress up in costumes – PubClub will be the 5 O’Clock (Somewhere) Booze News Team! – and fill the small bars in rotating groups. You can, of course, just go to the event without being on a team and hit the bars but it’s way more fun to be a part of a group.
• TICKETS FOR THE SMACKFEST EVENTS BEACH CITIES BEER & WINE FESTIVAL

Tickets for this second annual event go on sale Saturday and this will sell out before you have your first beer at the Keg Hunt so sign up for it BEFORE you go to the Keg Hunt!
This is not one of those events to put your chin in your palm, say “hmmm, I wonder who else is going” and then waffle on making a decision. It’s an event where you WILL want to be there, where you’ll have a GREAT time when you’re there and if you do not get your tickets on Saturday you’ll be scratching at the fence on the day of the event wanting to get into it and kicking yourself for not getting your tickets in time. So don’t delay – get your tix on Saturday. This is your PubClub Party Report Tip Of The Week!

• LIVE MUSIC BY LOCAL BANDS!
The band Barley is playing Friday night at Standing Room (10 p.m.) and Saturday at The Slip starting at 9. That’s a great “bracket band” for before and after the Keg Hunt!
• SPEAKING OF MUSIC, THERE’S THIS BIG FESTIVAL
Coachella opens this weekend so some of you may be at it. And of course at the end of the month it’s Stagecoach, which some people claim is better than Coachella.
