With amusement parks and lots of amusement, the state of Florida is a holidays heaven, a forget-the-work-for-a-week place that is high on tourism and doen’t mind tackiness.
It is also a partier’s paradise, with the best beach bars in America as well as daytime drinking places where people pull up to bars on intracoastal waterways and a place of big-time nightlife.
This post is a pillar page (a landing page, if you prefer) to all things Florida on PubClub.com, which has been up and down and side-to-side in Florida.
I have been to Destin and Siesta Key with my family for Christmas, to Daytona Beach for Spring Break (as well as for the 24 Hours of Daytona and just to pound down the powerful Red Tide drink at the Ocean Deck), packed a cooler with “Hayney” and made the drive through the Florida Keys to Key West, spent a month exploring the South Florida beach cities, visited former sports writer friends in Jacksonville, driven across “Alligator Alley” and been to many of the funky Florida attractions like the Mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs.
So grab your suntan lotion, put on the flip flops and bathing suit, listen to some good Buffett tunes, and click the following links to virtually travel throughout Florida.
